Nothing has come close to that so far
Graham Norton and the films starring: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). I was lucky enough to watch The Bureau a few years ago and honestly, it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen. There is a connection between the two series, and it’s certainly “influenced” in that sense, but I didn’t expect a story like that.
You won’t regret it
Don’t get me wrong, the series so far has been amazing, great actors, good cinematography, but it’s nothing I haven’t seen before in the French version. It’s too early to say how this will play out, but I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Presidency check it out. After Fassbender played a professional hitman in David Fincher’s The Killer, and after I saw him in action, I knew right away that he was a great choice for the role.
It’s not something you watch while cycling on an indoor trainer
These types of series really require a certain amount of concentration when watching them so that you can stay with all the characters in the story and the little details about them. Some might find them slow, sometimes boring, but it’s the characterization of the characters and the complex personal struggles and the slow build-up of tension that makes them great in my opinion. You either love these types of series or you don’t like them at all, there’s no middle ground.
