He is smart. This is Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer, who solves crimes by day and commits crimes by night. In season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas.
Dexter Morgan: I lived in the dark for a long time
His son, David Zayas, Jr., replaces his father in some scenes, as they are very similar. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later, in the second season, the scar moved to the right side, leaving the left side unnoticed.

Dexter paints a believable and very detailed portrait of a sociopath, let’s say, disturbed
One of my favorite aspects of the show is the emotions that normal people show, causing Dexter to emulate them. It’s funny when the emotions that Dexter models become real, and he is scared, as in his relationship with his “friend” Rita, a mother of two children and a victim of his abusive ex-boyfriend. I also liked the performance of Jennifer Carpenter in the role of Debra, Dexter’s sister, who adds pleasant colors to the series without falling into a cliché.
