London School of Lovely Girls
For those who don’t know, the previous official, Sally Hawkins, said it’s time to move on. I tried to warm to her, but to me, Emily Mortimer is just an older product. I know the show has moved on, but Emily’s opening moves are annoyingly flat and uninspired. For a few minutes I thought oh no!! I tried hard to warm to her, she progressed strangely later in the film…the least they could have done is give her a meaningful script, she seemed too small a wife who doesn’t say much. Sorry Em!Same to Madeleine Harris who plays Judy, great lines next time, maybe both.
Let’s be fair
She may have tried to be Sally Hawkins at times, I’m not sure, but she had big boots to fill and Sally was a smashing success. They all played their roles very well in the end. So anyway, the dear Peruvian finds himself taking the initiative this time and coming to help family members. This journey takes him through the world of Lahndan art to guess where… A family member is in trouble and the eldest’s madness and mortal sin is the cause of all evil. The scenery in a faraway place is stunning, simply stunning, it inspires me to go there, as does London, which is darkly happy.
Forget it if you have healthy phobias of certain creatures (not snakes)
there is a lot of hilarity, action and tears in the movie as well, but very young children who are not very brave will not find the show so warm-hearted, scary, I thought. so sometimes. Visually it’s just as stunning as the previous films, although the script is flat and a bit predictable at some points, the mysteries that were revealed were simple enough for a five year old to get through… aha. .target audience. Haha ….this doesn’t take anything away from the CGI effect of the film and one particularly ear-splitting one.
Just saying, I don’t think it’s over
Bonneville seems to have had a hair transplant, I’m not sure, but he’s always given a great performance, along with the Walters and some of the great newcomers to the story. Hey…the glamorous character from the last movie shows up.
