Line of Events
Two Harkonnen sisters fight against forces that threaten the future of humanity and found a legendary sect called the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping a dystopia, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Anderson.

A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Rossak Brotherhood evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident where Valya uses her voice with Harkonnen comes from one of them, “Mentats of Dune.” All three books relate the development of the Brotherhood, the Mentats, the Marines, and the Zuk doctors. This spin-off is more like Game of Thrones than Dune.
This is a great spin-off of the beloved series
That is, Dune: The Prophecy is everything I expected it to be and more. I should start by saying that I haven’t read the source material or seen the original film. My experience with Dune is based on the two Dune movies that have been released in the last few years, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.
I absolutely love them, so I had high hopes for this series
These two movies (especially Dune: Part II) are two of my favorite movies I’ve seen in the last few years. Dune: Prophecy is a series set 10,000 years before the Dune movies and tells the story of how the Harkonnen sisters founded the Bene Gesserit as a fighting force that threatened the future of humanity. The show may be more Game of Thrones than Dune, but somehow… it’s a lot of fun.
You don’t need to watch two Dune movies to enjoy this, but you’ll definitely like it more if you do
The most important thing about this show is that it does exactly what it sets out to do, and it deepens our understanding of the Bene Gesserit.
